The Harpic World Toilet College Odisha Chapter is an initiative aimed at improving sanitation practices and standards, as well as uplifting the livelihoods and dignity of sanitation workers. The initiative contributes to broader sanitation goals, aligning with initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and emphasizes the importance of dignity, rights, and livelihoods in the sanitation sector
It aims
- To eliminate manual scavenging and improve the status of sanitation workers by providing them with dignified living through education and upskilling.
- To drive behavior change and enhance sanitation facilities across the sanitation value chain.
- To train and upskill sanitation workers, thereby improving their livelihoods.

- Provide access to basic rights, dignified livelihoods, and improved self-worth for sanitation workers through training and skills development.
- Develop curriculum, courses, workshops, and best practices in toilet design, maintenance, and sanitation technologies. Fosters an enabling environment for knowledge-sharing and capacity building.
Courses Offered:
Range from toilet building to professional restroom cleaning and maintenance, catering to various stakeholders including government officials, WASH practitioners, community workers, and students.

- Mobilization of Sanitation workers.
- Networking and collaborating with Officials of Municipal Corporations/ULBs regarding the training Program.
- Registration of Sanitation Workers from slums.
- Training and certification of Sanitation workers.
- Maintenance of temporary installed toilets in Puri during Rathyatra 2023 in collaboration with Puri Municipality.
- Celebration of world Hand Hygiene Day, Gandhi jayanti, Diwali and world Toilet Day in HWTC campus.
- Organizing placement events.
- Felicitation Of Sanitation workers on the Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and the World Toilet Day.

- 1000 Sanitation workers trained including 487 male, 509 female and 4 others
