On November 15th, at Sindurpur School in the Ulunda Block of Subarnapur District about 500 students gathered in the schoolyard to celebrate a special occasion that would leave an indelible mark on their lives. This day wasn’t just Children’s Day; it was a milestone in the Harpic School Sanitation Program, orchestrated by AJYS, which promised to bring a wave of change to the community’s approach to cleanliness and hygiene.The highlight of the day was the presence of an esteemed guest, Padmashree Haladhar Nag, fondly known as “Lok Kabi Ratna.” A revered figure in the community, Mr. Nag’s participation added a layer of significance to the event.His journey from a humble background to being awarded the Padma Shri in 2016 and later a Doctorate Degree by the esteem Sambalpur University in 2019 is a testament to his unwavering dedication to literature and development issues including social reformation on sanitation and human dignity through sanitation.

On this special day, he channeled his influence towards advocating for better sanitation and cleanliness practices.
